Outage: 8/8/2007 - 5:55PM to 6:09PM ET

One of our core routers crashed and caused a 15 minute outage while the router was being reset and BGP4 tables were converging...

Our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused...

Oh, so that's what was up with my email. I actually saw this one! :clapper:

(It's been a rough day ... catching a fleeting FQ outage in the act has a certain entertainment value when your brain is turning into yogurt. :eeww:)

While working on a job for one of our customers, a yogurt company (true story, Stonyfield) the network went down. The rss feed from blogspot only showed "network status normal, May 8, 2007".

What is the trigger to have FQ post on blogspot?

My boss said "oh, they must be down in FL again"
I reminded her that it is rare but still could not tell her why because no status in the rss feed.

That was all I needed.

Further info after posting the text above;

Ok, I just went back and looked, when I touch my rss feed reader, google, it showed the May 8 feed only, click on it and I go to that posting on blogspot. I just touched newer post and it went to today. So the issue must be a delay on Google Feed reader, it still (two hours after FQ post) has not updated although my other feeds are coming in fine, including one from a FQ blog I host. Blogspot feed issue?

Lesson = do not rely on feed, look at blogspot.

Steve,

I double checked and Full Feeds is enabled in Blogspot for FQStatus and I have no idea why the feed (still) hasn't updated... When posted it was checked at the actual address to be sure that the post was posted and time stamped...

Is the subscription address. I post in one of our FQ wordpress implementations www.LondonderryNH.net and the feed comes in seconds.

I will post a reply when it comes in, if not in 24 hours I will delete the subscription and re-subscribe.

From now on, go direct to blog spot, thank you for that service.

(Smack! I forgot all about the blog site...)
