server shut down?

Hi.... Its been since 2003 that i updated/changed my website (gasp, horrible i know) I used front page... now when i try and upload my changes... it begins the upload and then gives me a error message of " the server unexpectantly closed the connection" Can anyone tell what i'm doing wrong?

Have you double-checked that you have all the correct information entered into your FTP program?

Is it possible that you have a router or firewall blocking your access? That type of error certainly sounds like it could be a firewall, router or Internet security software issue. You might need to make sure your firewall or other hardware/software is configured to allow your FTP program to access the Internet.

It seems that in renewing your domain name, you may have not yet updated the DNS servers for your domain. See this link:
http://www.FutureQuest.net/Services/Transfer/

In the meantime, instead of using your domain name for the FTP host, you could use your IP address.
