Hi,

I'm having problems using FTP to update my site. I can connect to my site, and it starts to upload the new pages but then it just stops and doesn't go anywhere. If I'm trying to replace an existing page it asks if I want to overwrite (I press OK) and again it starts to upload and then stops. When I get fed up and stop the transfer it's deleted the old page but the new version isn't there.

I can upload through File Manager but not through FTP. Anyone have any suggestions for what's wrong? It had been working fine until the weekend and on Sunday I thought I was just having an off-day, but now I'm stumped. I'm connecting to the right ftp address and I can't think of anything else to try. Help? Please?

As an idea.... search for an option in your FTP program to run in PASSIVE MODE ... turning this on has been known to help quite a few others with the same type of problem...

Hey,

I looked around in my FTP program but I can't find that option. I'm using CuteFTP - any suggestions?

Thanks,
KitKat

In CuteFTP;
-Open the Site Manager
-Select the FQ site
-Click on 'Edit'
-Check 'Use PASV mode'
