Unique Visitors?

Is there anyway to get a rough estimate of unique visitors to ones site for a particular month?[nbsp][nbsp]Just to be clear, a person visiting the site once a week only counts as 4 visits but only one unique visitor.[nbsp][nbsp]I imagine it is next to impossible to determine.[nbsp][nbsp]Two people accessing the site through the same proxy server who would both show the same IP address in the logs, and one person with dial-up access can get a different IP address each time they dial in.

I see the stats page logs "Total unique sites."[nbsp][nbsp]Is this simply the total unique IP addresses?[nbsp]

Sounds like something that would require a seperate script(s) and use of cookies no?

You need cookies even with cookies it wont be 100% accurate.[nbsp][nbsp]
