Can anyone help me with this problem.

My husband thought he would help me and make my computer go faster and changed one of my hard drives. Now My email is not working.

I am getting the two following errors...

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.partyoptions.net', Server: 'mail.partyoptions.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.partyoptions.net', Server: 'mail.partyoptions.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have done some reading and it looks like it can be a firewall setting up to a port that has been blocked.

I am able to go in and delete all my email and it will work when I recreate them but when the computer get turned off and then back on it goes back to these errors.

Anyone any ideas?

UMMMM.... Nobody has any ideas. I have fixed one of the errors but now I am still getting this error

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.partyoptions.net', Server: 'pop.partyoptions.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

program is Windows 2000 Professional operating system. I have also read something about there could be a problem with this operating system but do not understand why one email will not work but my other 5 do.

Anyone...any ideas?

Looks like you may be trying to use SSL on non-SSL ports. Instead of 25 and 110 use 465 and 995, respectively.
