Anyone know why Firefox renders see-thru images so dark as compared to IE?

When you say "see-thru" do you mean Opacity and or Transparency? Are you doing this with CSS? What version Firefox and what version IE? Can you give us a link to the page in question?

I just looked at a wide range of CSS Opacity and Transparency effects on Firefox 2.0.0.3 and IE 7.0.5730.11 and they look identical side by side.
