View Full Version : Page change not showing
I'm sure (I hope!) there's a simple answer to this.
I've uploaded a revised home page (index.html) but browsers (IE/Opera) insist on showing the old version.[nbsp][nbsp]I've cleared the cache and refreshed but still no joy.
The page shows correctly when opened via CNC/File Manager.
Can someone please suggest what's wrong?
Many thanks.

It's hard to say without knowing which page specifically you are referring to but from what you have stated here I'm willing to bet the "old index" page has a different file name than the "new index" page.
I've seen this type of question with those who have accidently titled one index.html while the other is index.htm and/or Index.html rather than index.html
Remember the file names are CaSe sensitive and to overwrite one with the other it would have to be the exact same name.
Another option to try is deleting the old and then uploading the new to be sure..

Have you uploaded the page to the correct directory? ;) .
Joi~
Thanks, both, for the responses.
This was strange - yes, I was using the correct directory, and no, I hadn't altered the file name.[nbsp][nbsp]So I took Deb's suggestion, deleted the file and re-uploaded.[nbsp][nbsp]All's well, although I still don't understand how or why! :)
Thanks again for the help.

Thanks Dan.
The files I uploaded from Front Page are all on a page (Folder?) called <Index of /big/dom/x1stanchor/gillg:>
Bob tells me that this is one folder ABOVE the www one where they should be.
Do you know how I can move them?
