Problem accessing stats

Hi all, I'm having trouble looking at my stats pages
in arseweb.com/stats. It's like everything below that
directory isn't being recognized as HTML, or rather
it is but the browser wants to save the file to disk
before opening it, so the relative links don't work.

This is a new problem, has something changed which
I've missed? I've had a look around but can't find an
explanation. Many thanks for any help.

At the end of last year some changes were made to support the compression of archived stats. These changes are clashing with the .htaccess directives in your stats directory. Remove or rename www/stats/.htaccess and everything should work again.

We strongly recommend password protecting (http://service.futurequest.net/kb19) your stats directory. Leaving it open encourages referrer spamming for one, but can also expose other information.
