OK, another question on 404 errors.
I have a script that e-mails me whenever a 404 error occurs on my site.

Just this morning, I got one such e-mail. In part it states:

Flags tripped for attempted access to /sheila/math/mygraphics/shemathlink.gif
...<deletions>...
Visitor linked in from http://www.thinkspot.net/sheila/math/.
Now, the first URL above is a link to a graphic that really is on my page. I just went there and checked it. Yep. It's there. I've gotten these type of reports occassionally before.

What would cause something like this? (i.e. a 404 report for a file that actually exists and is available). Does this mean my visitor saw my page without that graphic? (It is one of the most central graphics on that page...)

P.S. The tab order on the "add new topic" form for this UBB is really messed up. It's been like this for a few weeks, but I keep forgetting to say something about it. It didn't used to be like that...

Putting the pieces together from the error report you show ==>> http://www.thinkspot.net/sheila/math/mygraphics/shemathlink.gif

Returns not found.

==> http://www.thinkspot.net/mygraphics/shemathlink.gif

It's there.

It appears someone/thing did try to reach an area that really is not found within your directories...
