Strange Netscape forms problem

Howdy,

Using Netscape 4.76 with WIN2K (SP1), whenever I submit a form -- ANY FORM ON THE WEB -- it takes about 20 seconds before Netscape will contact the host.[nbsp][nbsp]It does this every time and with every form.

I don't have this problem with IE 5.5, nor do I have this problem with Netscape 4.76 on my WIN ME system.

I used to think this was a FutureQuest issue, but I've since learned that this happens on all web sites.

Is anyone else having this problem?[nbsp][nbsp]If so, does anyone know of a fix?

I stopped using Netscape 4.x on Win 2000 because of regular delays of about that length.[nbsp][nbsp]I don't know about 4.76, but Netscape seemed confused early on about whether or not they were W2K compliant.

Very interesting... I even formatted my HDD to see if it would fix the problem (and for other reasons).. no help.[nbsp][nbsp]It seems to work fine on everything but submitting forms.

Anyone else?

Got similar problems with NS4.7 / W2000 with JavaScripts. Seems like NS freezes for a couple of seconds while IE shows the results instantaniously. I'm no Microsoft fan, but I'm afraid NS4.x is a much worse product than IE.

I literally just upgraded this machine to Win2k SP1, and I'm not receiving any such problems.... thank goodness.

(It's quite a relief to be able to open twenty windows of a table heavy site and not run out of 'resources'...)
