SMTP problems

Hi everyone,

I just signed up with FutureQuest, and everything works great with the exception of the SMTP server.[nbsp][nbsp]I've been able to send 3 successful e-mails out of about 20 tries.[nbsp][nbsp]Usually I get the "server did not respond" messages, yet my site is accessable.

Any ideas on what's goin on?
I have my preferences set as per my welcome e-mail
SMTP server: mail.bravcom.net

I've also tried just bravcom.net

Hi Darrick,

If you are referring to bravcom.net, I see that the whois information was just updated on Jan 12, 2001.

So there is a very good chance that this is a propagation issue, as web services, email and FTP all propagate in different time frames.

I also would recommend that if this persists for more than another 24 hours or so, that you open up an incident with the Service Desk
