Can't highlight and copy text from web pages

Okay, I'm stumped. I've been working on a new site and a friend recently pointed out that visitors can no longer highlight the text in the browser and copy it. she was irate and wanted to know why I'd chosen to do this!

Only I didn't choose.

The pages are completely HTML 4.01 transistional compliant (well, except for the barnes & noble affiliate code). I can highlight and copy text from the 1st table on the page, but not the body table. Any clues, anyone?

Viewing the pages noted in your profile, all appear to work fine and I was able to copy and paste without a problem.[nbsp][nbsp]Is there a specific link this is happening at that we should be viewing?

Actually, I've just found the "problem". I can highlight and copy from the header table, but couldn't from the main content table *until I removed the align="left" attribute on the table*! Now everything is copacetic (spellin?).

My friend complained she'd had this problem sporadically on other sites -- I think I may have discovered why. It seems that the the Netscape browser doesn't highlight tables with amn alignment attribute. I don't have the problem in iCab 2.2. Don't have an IE up at the moment to test, but I'm thinking this is a Netscape quirk.
