Greetings All,

Here's the situation: I want to point ghs.google.com to blog.rightsandresources.org.

Using EasyDNS I can create a CNAME record that will allow this.

BUT do I also need to buy the subomain blog.rightsandresources.org from futurequest?

I am trying to forward a blog hosted using Googles Blogger service to the subdomain blog.rightsandresources.org.

It's immensely probable that I've omitted information that would predicate an intelligible answer, and for this I apologize in advance.

Hello,

You would need to order the Subdomain from us in order for our name servers to know where to resolve it to, if you intend for blog.rightsandresources.org to be present on the FutureQuest servers.

Just as an aside I use Google's Blogger for three of my sites and I just have it set to publish to a sub directory within the accounts and I access it as http://example.com/blog/ this does not require a subdomain.

Thanks Bob.

The new, now non-beta, Blogger, doesn't allow Publishing via FTP sadly.

Nor does TypePad, the other program I am considering.

Hi again,

I just upgraded my Google Blogger to the new version and there is still FTP options for me, under "Dashboard - Settings - Publishing"

Hmm.. I get a setup page that looks like this: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=55373

Luckily, I've found an old blogger account of mine that does the traditional style of FTP publishing. www.rightsandresources.org/blog is good to go!

Thanks Bob.
