I'm in a bit of a quandry - a user of mine reported a few 500 Internal Server Errors when accessing my UBB, but when going into the CGI error logs to see what was going on, there were no 500 errors there at all! The last entries were some 404s that I accidentally generated last night... Stupid tpoys! http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

Is something wrong with the logging system, or is my user seeing things? I'll be getting details about what was going and at what time things were happening Very Soon Now.

If the connection is broken while trying to execute a script it could cause a 500 error.

I know ealier today there was some pretty screwed up routing going on that caused some congestion in lines that could have caused the users connection to fail while on your site. It was a spotty thing that affected some and not others (just depended on what lines were being used to get from the computer to the site).

If they are not seeing the errors now and it was just more a 'fluke' situation I would guess that something like an interrupted connection would be the culprit.

That sounds like exactly what happened from his description: a problematic connection... Thanks!
