About a year ago, I complained about an ongoing problem (http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20655) with my HP Scanners. I think I finally found a workaround. I don't think of it as an actual FIX, but it no longer requires that laborious process of digging out the disc, and I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner: I just copied the scan.msi file to the scanner software directory (in Program Files.) Voila, it can always find the file now. It still seems to go through unnecessary configuration EVERY time, but at least scanning is now just the one click process it ought to be :clapper: !
