Dreamweaver double lines.

Sorry for bugging this forum with such questions but i cannot access newsgroups and other than that i do not know where i can found out something like this.
Anyways, why does dreamweaver always skip lines it makes my web pages look stupid. Everytime you press enter it leaves a big space between the lines, does anyone know how to make it stop doing that?

In dreamweaver when you use the enter key it inserts paragraph code (

&amp; </p>). To just make a line break use shift +enter. There is a way to make this the default but it involves changing an entry in the registry.
