I need to produce a porfolio of my sites on a CD. It has to be self contained. There must be a stand-alone broswer that I can include on the disc. Any recommendations or tips?

One problem will be SSI's. I use them for menus and such. Is there a way to put a number of sites on a CD and have these work?

Thanks.

You could include a full install of Netscape on the CD, and use a BAT file to make it run from the CD.
This is only good for windows.
http://www.flashlite.net/help/cd/f3/batnet.html - A tutorial showing how to set this up, it's intended for flash movies, but is still good.

Good Luck,
Daniel

Must they actually view the html page? What if you did a multimedia presentation? IE you navigating the site and they watch your navigation.

There's a few annoying points, as you allude, in doing this. SSIs are one, but the other is index.html pages: if your links point to "directory/" (which is certainly the way I set up links) then those won't work from a CD because the browser is looking for files, not asking a server, and the browser won't automatically go "oh, I'll just get index.html in that directory".

There's software to pull pages down from the site and correct links, however: try http://davesworld.tucows.com/offline95.html first and then maybe try download.com.
