View Full Version : Lost my WEB

I started building a web site with FrontPage 2000, but had problems with my computer and dropped things for a few months.[nbsp][nbsp]When I tried to continue building the web site and asked to recover my pages that I had saved, it appears that they were saved as "read only", as FrontPage won't let me open or modify.

Can I download my pages from those stored on FutureQuest?

I know this is a lame situation, but I'm just a dumb physician trying to help out my son's Boy Scout troop while learning a few things.

Thanks!!

If your files are on the server, you can definitely download them.[nbsp][nbsp]The ftp tutorials should get you started:

JG, try opening Windows Explorer and browsing to the subdirectory where those files are.[nbsp][nbsp]Click View/Details.[nbsp][nbsp]Waaaay off on the right side should be a column marked Attributes; look for those that have an "R" in that column.[nbsp][nbsp]Right click on those files that are your FP website "read only" jobbydoos and select Properties, and uncheck the "Read-only" box.[nbsp][nbsp]Click ok.

As they say, "Wah-LA!"
