View Full Version : Adding people who already confirmed elsewhere

I'm helping my quilt guild move our site to Future Quest and I have a question about mailing lists. Basically, only guild members will be on our new mailing list and all are used to getting our almost-monthly newsletters via email. Under these circumstances, do we still need to use the confirmed opt-in option when we switch over our newsletter to be sent through ezmlm?

Pretty sure I know the answer but thought I'd ask since I don't want to confuse our less technically-inclined members unnecessarily.

Hi Erica,

Basically, if they have completed a confirmed opt-in process previously and you would be able to provide the confirmation as proof if a spam complaint was received, you would be covered. If there's any question, a formal Confirmed Opt-in (http://service.FutureQuest.net/kb115) process should be completed.

That's very clear. I manage lists for another site hosted on FQ so I'm familiar with the opt-in process. :smile:
