I tried[nbsp][nbsp]to link to a .doc file using usual <a href="....
Box pops us to open or save.
Choosing open gets me an invalid path or file name...
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] I changed the filename, protections, ... no work.
Choosing save saves the file to my machine.
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] But when I try to open locally, word locks on a virusscan.
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] Doesn't have one, but can't access even with scanner off....no work.
Removed the .doc extension and jibberish opens in browser.
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] Or if saved, when opens as jibberish browser file.
Searched and found notes approx. 60 days ago (leftclick download), regarding mimes or such which I was completely unable to understand.

Have not found source other, assistance?[nbsp][nbsp]tks, ck.

The best thing to do when working with proprietary file formats is to zip them up, and link to the zip file. Almost everyone is going to be configured to handle zip files properly, where doc files would depend too much on client software...

Hope this helps.
