Priveleges for an extra FTP account

I was considering getting an extra FTP account for my watchersdiary.com domain so that I could give the moderator of my forums the ability to upload profile pics for people. However, I don't want him to have total FTP access to that whole domain. Is there a way that I can give him only FTP access to a particular subdirectory?
