Hello.[nbsp][nbsp]I recently signed up to try FQ's hosting service and I'm not 100 percent sure where to start uploading files(Is a domain transfer).[nbsp][nbsp]I already filled out all the information to network solution for the domain transfer stuff so I have to just wait in terms of that.[nbsp][nbsp]Guess this is a rookie question, but which folder should I upload everything to while I'm waiting for the domain hosting switch?[nbsp][nbsp]

With my old host, once I logged in with my ftp program, there was 1 folder called "public_html" and inside was 1 "cgi-bin".[nbsp][nbsp]I would upload all my contents into the public folder or create new folder sections within if I wanted new sections.[nbsp][nbsp]So I logged into the ftp address that was given
by FQ and it brought me to a folder that was my domain name and inside is a folder called ".mc" and 4 other files.

Was looking for something like the public_html folder but couldn't find anything in my domain folder.[nbsp][nbsp]So I decided to scrounge around the directory and found another 1 with my domain name except this 1 has an "x" infront of it.[nbsp][nbsp]This section has a couple of folders like the cgi-bin and such.[nbsp][nbsp]I am assuming that the folder called "www" would be equal to the "public_html" that I am used to.[nbsp][nbsp]

So am I suppose to upload everything to this "x" section that has the "www" folder for now?[nbsp][nbsp]Or is that entire area just a temporary 1 and will be deleted after the domain hosting transfer is completed?[nbsp][nbsp]Or will it still be there after and is the right place to upload the files?[nbsp][nbsp]Any help would be great.[nbsp][nbsp]Thanks :)

When you first FTP into your account you are likely to be seeing your home directory instead of the /www/ directory. If you upload your files into this directory rather than the /www/ they will not show up. You'll need to move up one directory level to see your /www/ directory. The best way to understand the directory structure is to visit the File Manager within your CNC where you will be able to easily navigate your way through each of the directories within your account.

Web Files: /www/ directory /big/dom/xdomain/www/
CGI Files: /cgi-bin/ directory /big/dom/xdomain/cgi-bin/
