I just started a new website yesterday (to replace a blog I have on Blogspot.com). The url is:
http://www.prettyfacesketches.com
I have registered the website name, set it up as an IRM with Futurequest, and done the DNS transfer to get it to point at the Futurequest nameservers. When I type the url in at
http://www.aota.net/dns/
it looks to me like everything is pointing where it should be.
The problem is that when I type http://www.prettyfacesketches.com into my browser I see the index page, but I don't see any of the graphics. Oddly enough if I right click on and image and select "view image" the image shows up. Then if I hit the backspace on my browser the image shows on the page just as it should. If I hit the reload button on my browser the image disappears again.
Right clicking on the page and choosing "view background image" produces somewhat similar results, except that the image that is viewed is not the background image for the page - It's the image I've assigned to a couple of tables.
If I left click on the image from the index page (which is a thumbnail image hyperlinked to a larger version), I get the message:
"Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /Sketch_0064.jpg on this server."
My browser address then shows
"http://www.prettyfacesketches.com/Sketch_0064.jpg"
(minus the quotes of course). If I the copy this address from my browser and paste it right back in with no alterations, the picture displays properly.
The foregoing experiments were in the Mozilla browser. I.E. has the same problem with a few minor variations. I tried clearing the caches and reloading the page in both Mozilla and I.E. - no effect.
So what am I up against here - Do I just need to wait longer until everything propagates or is there some other problem involved here? Any ideas?
