I have recently activated the Email function of my FQ account. I have no problem receiving messages but every time I try to send a reply or new message I get this error message:

Error talking to SMTP server [421 Cannot connect to SMTP server 69.5.14.168 (69]

I have set up my Email program (Eudora) using the info provided in my Activation letter.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

It is entirely possible that your ISP is blocking Port 25 (the standard SMTP port).

If your port 25 access is blocked, but you are able to connect on port 1025 or 587, you may wish to change the port setting for SMTP in your email program. Most email programs allow you to specify the SMTP, or Outgoing Server port. Changing this setting to 1025 or 587 instead of 25 will in most cases allow you to send email through the FutureQuest® mail servers. Or, if your email software supports it, use the secure option of port 465. (http://service.futurequest.net/index.php?_a=knowledgebase&_j=questiondetails&_i=384)
