i've uploaded my files for my web pages to my WWW folder in the CNC file manager, but when I type in my address, it only shows the FQ temp site stuff.[nbsp][nbsp]My friend said something about the index.fquest file, but I' don't know what to do.[nbsp][nbsp]Can someone tell me STEP BY STEP (I'm a computer illiterate) on how to do this so that my website shows when my domain address is typed in?

Delete the page that shows up in the WWW folder and upload the page you would like to show up and title it index.html
You might also want to visit: http://www.aota.net/HTML/homepage.php3
If you need additional assistance let us know.

Ok, I"ve uploaded my main page file, renamed it index.html, but now the link to it is josies-posies.com/index.html[nbsp][nbsp] I've registered my domain as josies-posies.com, so how will people know where to go?[nbsp][nbsp]I'm thoroughly confused.[nbsp][nbsp]I did go to the site you provided, Brian, and I thought I followed directions, but now the domain address has the /index.html string at the end.

You don't need to type the /index.html to go to that page.[nbsp][nbsp]If there is an index file in that directory (be it index.html, index.htm, index.shtml, etc.), the browser will go to it by default.[nbsp][nbsp]That is one reason not to bookmark/link URL's such as www.domain.com/index.html (http://www.domain.com/index.html) if avoidable -- if it is later changed to www.domain.com/index.shtml (http://www.domain.com/index.shtml) you're out of luck.[nbsp][nbsp]However, if you had just used www.domain.com (http://www.domain.com) you would get to the same page regardless.

But I did register my domain as josies-posies.com[nbsp][nbsp]The trouble came when uploading my file from frontpage express to FQ as host.[nbsp][nbsp]I loaded it, renamed it index.html (as I was told to do), and now when I click on that link in my CNC file manager, the address shows as www.josies-posies.com/index.html (http://www.josies-posies.com/index.html)[nbsp][nbsp]What am I doing wrong?

From the File manager in your CNC you are looking at a directory of files located within the WWW directoy, not what you would necessarily see if you simply typed in http://www.josies-posies.com/ from outside your CNC.
Try opening your browser and simply typing http://www.josies-posies.com/ and you'll see that the /index.html doesn't show in the url although the page is viewed the same by others.
Hope that makes sense. If you need further assistance let us know.
