entry-level web designer needed

I'm looking for a part-time assistant web designer - probably a high school or college student who needs part-time work and is willing to work for not a whole lot more than minimum wage - $9.00-$10.00/hr depending on experience. This would be an independent contractor position - not an employee with employer paid taxes & benefits and stuff.

I don't have a problem getting clients, I just have a problem getting the work done. :) Experience with css and php sure would be nice but a young geeky brain willing to learn will work, too.

I know that the majority of people here have their own businesses and wouldn't be interested in something like this, but if you have or know talented, responsible teenagers who want to earn some gas money, let me know. Or if you want to earn a few bucks here and there and are willing to work at $10/hr let me know.

This sounds like something that would be very beneficial to me. I have a great amount of experience on the graphics side, but little experience in web implementation. The web work I have done utilizes Flash and HTML. In reading and research, I am constantly coming across references and "tricks" referencing PHP, Javascript, and ASP. I see an opportunity like this as a chance to broaden my horizons, however you would really need to tell me how much each project is worth in real time, because it will take me longer to figure some of these things out. I am good at problem solving and reaching goals, but I am on a learning curve.

Look for someone with additional skills like php or databases (or Flash, like eche33), and CSS should be a must. Even if you don't need the extra skills, you need to weed out the less serious kids. I heard a 14 year old advertise himself as "a very good HTML expert". You don't want that.

I am very interested in helping you out. My name is Patty and I am currently looking for something like this to help give me the experience I need as a webdesigner. I graduated last August with a B.A. in Art with Graphics Design Emphasis. I do have experience with HTML, Dreamweaver, Flash and CSS.
