What is this FTP directory for?

I try to do ftp://mydomain.com and I get an "access denied" error from the browser.[nbsp][nbsp]I imagine that all http:// things to my domain are found inside the WWW directory and all ftp:// things are found inside the FTP directory.[nbsp][nbsp]Please explain how I could enable access to my FTP directory via a ftp:// reference from of a browser.[nbsp][nbsp]I understand that ftp.mydomain.com is password protected and I can only access it via an FTP software, but what about allowing public access to a portion of my domain, say, to just the FTP directory inside XMydomain.

Thanks

We do not offer anonymous FTP. The ftp directory used to be in each domain's directory space as we had planned at one time to add anonymous FTP, but those plans were dropped.

What you can do is purchase an extra FTP login, root it to a certain directory, and put a username/password of guest/guest or something similar - or you could just offer HTTP downloads...
