I am currently designing my website at

www.designerkitchens.co.uk (http://www.designerkitchens.co.uk)

and would appreciate help on any of the following points.

I am using Microsoft FrontPage Express on a Windows 98 PC.

1. I seem to have two home pages, a[nbsp][nbsp]Default.htm[nbsp][nbsp]home page and an[nbsp][nbsp] index.html home page.[nbsp][nbsp]What is the difference between them and do I need both of them. This is on my local web which I work on off-line. My index page seems to be the one with the "Keywords" and "Description" but does not appear on the navigation view. The default page appears with the little home icon.

2. I am using WS_FTP to transfer files at present (evaluation trial period) and when I look at files in the remote network, there seems to be loads of files which I no longer wish to have on my website. Is it a good idea to delete all files and start from scratch from my latest local web? When I then upload new files, do I simply go to programs / webshare / Wwwroot / and select which web to transfer?

3. I am not sure what the root web means. Is this the web that goes up to the Internet?

4. I sell fitted kitchens as the name suggests and would like to know what description to put in, and also what and how many keywords. Should I use place names? Should all the words and even proper names be in lower case? Can you put keywords on other pages of the web-site?

5. What is the best way to get site high on list in search engines? If I were looking for a fitted kitchen, I would key in "fitted kitchen + Scotland". I would then expect to find a fitted kitchen company in Scotland. Is this the correct line of thinking or am I on the wrong track.

6. How do I put my website on a CD disc without showing all the files? I would like to show just the home page icon when a person inserts the disc. Is it easy to make the disc auto-run and how do in do this?
