Would like comment on DW 3 upgrade [Archive]

Hi to all

FQ is great and I am happy that I am now on board!

I am considering upgrading to Dreamweaver 3 - has anyone out there recently done this? Comments? Is it worth it?

Judy,

I upgraded to DW3. First many of the 3rd. party extensions written for DW2 break. :( Hopefully this will be fixed as the extension developers get around to it. I cannot comment on whether FTP has been fixed as I don't use it. Much of the change has been cosmetic. The view HTML has been improved. The image map editor is improved.

Overall I think for me it has been a yawner. The real improvements have been in the API functions for developers writing extensions. I have heard a lot of complaing about crashes but I haven't experienced many.

The possibilites for extending DW3 are much greater but we will have to wait for those developers. Untill then it's should have been DW2.5
