There is a post on the Amazon affiliate forum that describes a really interesting Google problem.

The PR for http://www.misuyura.com jumped from 2 to 8 overnight. Google for link:www.misuyura.com shows over 700 links, all from Amazon.com. The Amazon pages actually contain no links to misuyura.

I wonder whether it has to do with the amazon link on the site. Maybe (in some cases) the site's url appears on amazon as part of the referral credit?

I have seen AdWords ads for my site on Amazon, but in this instance the cached pages don't contain any reference to misuyura.

Futhermore, if you do a simple search for the URL:
http://www.google.com/search?q=www.misuyura.com
Google returns the Amazon site rather than the Misuyura site.

could it be a frames issue? I wouldn't THINK the googlebot would respect frames, but the ways of the google are not my ways, and the mind of google is unfathomable.

I mentioned having the same problem, but not with Amazon, here (http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20102). I deleted the webpage in question since that post.

Some wires crossed at Google?Very haywire at the moment. They are doing just fine with my site (for a change) but it seems most are complaining. This seems to be the worst received Google update yet. The best advice I've gotten is "wait and see." Over the past several months trying to figure out Google has been my biggest waste of time ever. I wish I had just taken a vacation instead, I'd have learned just as much.
