I noticed that the Google PageRank for http://www.polisource.com/law.html is 6, and I wanted to know who's linking to me that could cause such a relatively high PR, so I searched for link:http://www.polisource.com/law.html (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-21,GGLG:en&q=link%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Epolisource%2Ecom%2Flaw%2Ehtml) and searched the source code of Google's cache of the top six results for "polisource" but I couldn't find it in any of the pages. Then I searched for "law.gsu.edu" which is part of the link to the page that my page copied (with permission) and found it in every page. Do you think that Google thinks that the original page at http://gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/ was stolen from me? That shouldn't be reflected in the "link" results though.

Do you think that Google thinks that the original page at http://gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/ was stolen from me? No, it's the other way around which is why your page http://www.polisource.com/law.html is not indexed by Google.

A search for your page brings up one hit (http://www.google.com./search?hl=en&q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.polisource.com%2Flaw.html&btnG=Google+Search) which is not your page but the one you copied gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/

The link: command you used simply shows you the links to gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/ not to your page which has obviously been removed as duplicate content.

The same with the PR, what you are actually seeing is the PR of gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/

A search for your page brings up one hit (http://www.google.com./search?hl=en&q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.polisource.com%2Flaw.html&btnG=Google+Search) which is not your page but the one you copied gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/And if you click the link to "Show Google's cache of www.polisource.com/law.html" you'll see the cache of gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/. Google needs to fix that. It should at least say "Show Google's cache of www.gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/."

The link: command you used simply shows you the links to gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/ not to your page which has obviously been removed as duplicate content. The "link" command isn't supposed to work like that by definition.

Links
Find pages that link to the page...Showing no links to a non-indexed page with duplicate content would make more sense, or else the description of the link command should be changed.

The same with the PR, what you are actually seeing is the PR of gsulaw.gsu.edu/metaindex/Yeah, on my page, which Google doesn't even index. That's the dumbest part.

("Search Engines and Site Promotion" would be a better name for this section)
