Thanx everyone for your help with the space that wouldn't leave...

I went and used Net Mechanic...total shock...well not total ;) .[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]Seems I have more problems than I thought I had...and I write all the code by hand (which is probably why I'm having so many problems).[nbsp][nbsp]Now I find that all my inside pages are not showing up correctly in IE...in fact, they're hardly readable.[nbsp][nbsp]The right-hand column is so narrow...I didn't have a problem until I upgraded my browser.[nbsp][nbsp]Now I have to figure out a way to correct each page...and do this by hand.

Is a web designer's job ever done?

Thanx for all your support :).

Also, in IE (where most of my problems lie), the center column on the main page is too narrow & I have a few tag errors - test page I'm working with is here:
http://www.myparentime.com/indextest.html

There's good news though...somehow I managed to get rid of the extra space above the drop down box.[nbsp][nbsp]Now if I can figure out how to fix one of the inside pages - here's one for ie:
http://www.myparentime.com/Articles.html then I can go about correcting all the other pages.[nbsp][nbsp]Is there someone out there who's daring enough to take on these 2 pages?

On http://www.myparentime.com/Articles.html you have...
<td align=&quot;left&quot; valign=&quot;top&quot; width=&quot;85&quot;>
[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp] <p align=&quot;left&quot;><font size=&quot;4&quot;>[b][i]Welcome!...

That width=&quot;85&quot; is telling the browser that you want that cell to only be 85 pixels wide, when in fact you are probably looking for something closer to 5 or 600 pixels in width... so changing it to width=&quot;500&quot; and adjusting from there will probably help.

Be sure to check your width tags for the size adjustments, and just remember that those numbers are defining pixels (unless you use percent signs with them)

Thanx Deb![nbsp][nbsp]Thank goodness it was something as simple as that for the inside pages. :)

As for the main page...I'm getting a script error in IE, but not sure for what?

You have a couple of different scripts running within that page... I'm not a javascript guru (not even a close to a peon in that area)... best I can suggest is taking a closer look at all of the Javascript on the page and doing some validation (test each one individually so you can weed out the culprit)

Thanx Deb...will try &amp; do that ;) .

Have a good morning![nbsp][nbsp]

BTW, is it really you posting or are you catching some zzzzz's while your clone takes over?[nbsp][nbsp]Just curious, 'cause I'm asleep right now ;) .

I will *never* forget when I first learned table tags!

I don't know what it is about tables . . . but I am finding Perl, php, et al a BREEZE compared to the Agony of Learning to Write Tables, a few years back.[nbsp][nbsp]Nested tables almost made me cancel my ISP and give up web life altogether, LOL.

To make a tie in with another thread - HomeSite has a pretty sharp HTML validator too, which cuts a document down to size fast, zeroes right in on things one may have overlooked.

I don't have the patience to count to line 307, which is where the JavaScript error resides. However, I bet you it's the extreme-dm code. Try adding it without tabs before each line.
