Trying to transfer UBB from my old server to FQ's server.
When i go under[nbsp][nbsp]/www/ubb/cp.html and click on Variables to set my new directories i keep getting "Internal Server Error.
I uploaded my files in ASCII and have set the correct permissions.
Been using UBB for 1 year now, what's wrong

OK. Changing to 755 worked.
But now it can not find any Usernames
I'll try the Setup file manually.
Stay tuned..........

You shouldn't edit that file by hand, it's edited dynamically via Control Panel . . . general variables should allow you to reset your paths.

when i click on variables it then asks me to log in. I log in with my username and password but it says that it can't find that Username.........

UBB is great on the outside, but the inside is a pain in the ass!

Oops.[nbsp][nbsp]Misread your post.[nbsp][nbsp]I can't answer your question, but I transferred my UBB without any problems.

It looks like you have set the permissions to your cgi-bin directory (and the files/directories within) to mode 777
FutureQuest uses a lil tighter security that will not allow this to work.
If you change everything from 777 to 755 it should all work as you expect it to.[nbsp][nbsp]This applies to only your cgi-bin directory and it's contents.... the www contents are fine at 777.
Let us know if this fixes it

You also might need to manually edit your paths in the setup file.[nbsp]
