Duration: Already Completed
What: SpamAssassin and ClamAV

SpamAssassin has been upgraded to version 3.0.4 to fix a potential denial-of-service problem. Due to some bug fixes in scoring, this upgrade has the potential to cause changes in scoring. In particular, the SURBL JP list has been added, and there are some URI anti-obfuscation updates. For this reason we advise making note of your SA scoring and adjusting if required. The changes should be minor.

Clients who delete or bounce emails via the SpamAssassin filter may wish to temporarily change their settings to redirect or tag only. FutureQuest is unable to recover any email that is deleted or bounced as a result of email filters.

All other email services, including the sending of outbound email and delivery of inbound email which does not require scanning by SpamAssassin, is unaffected by this change.

Additionally, the ClamAV virus scanning software has been upgraded to version 0.86.1. This upgrade has also introduced a number of bugfixes and cleanups.

In short, both upgrades have been completed. Outside of monitoring SpamAssassin scoring (primarily for those who delete or bounce messages) no action is required on your end. :)
