UBB installation instructions require chmod 777 on Members directory and 777 on following files:
UltBB.setup
forums.cgi
mods.file
Styles.file
Upon setting Members directory to 777 and later checking dirinfo in WSFTP Pro, it reports 755
Upon setting UltBB.setup, forums.cgi, mods.file and Styles.file to 777 and later checking dirinfo in WSFTP Pro, it reports 644 on all files.
How do I set these permissions and have them hold?

This should be 755.[nbsp][nbsp]To accomplish this you do *not* have to change anything.[nbsp][nbsp]Once you upload it to your cgi-bin the server will automatically set them to 755 when you upload them (if you change the permissions the server will leave the changes).[nbsp][nbsp]As long as you only upload them and change nothing the Members directory will be correct.
and 777 on following files:
UltBB.setup
forums.cgi
mods.file
Styles.file
All of these files should be set to 755
Upon setting Members directory to 777 and later checking dirinfo in WSFTP Pro, it reports 755

For this you will need to consult the WS_FTP Help file.. it sounds like you are not actually getting the file permissions to change. If you were getting them to set then they would not be changing.[nbsp][nbsp]The server in no way would change the permissions to any of the files you have set.[nbsp][nbsp]

Ron, I took a look at the link you suggested.[nbsp][nbsp]In that thread, the problem was that I was using the right-click to check as well as set chmod.[nbsp][nbsp]I was instructed there to use the right click to set and the dirinfo button to check.
When posting in this thread, I had been using dirinfo to check.[nbsp][nbsp]However, I did find that I don't get accurate info from WSFTP unless I first close and restart the program.
So, I guess WSFTP Pro doesn't update until it is restarted.
Maybe I should have tried the refresh button.[nbsp][nbsp]Oh, well.
