Thanks to Kevin, Terra, Joseph and Deb for all the help. My site was hitting a soft wall on Mondays and Tuesdays, and last night, the team implemented some new hardware and put in extra time to make it all happen during a slow period for my site. As of this evening, server loads are way down, site speed is vastly improved, and best of all, my users are beside themselves being able to access the site so quickly. Thank you, FutureQuest. For once, I can't wait for Monday -vbg- .

I guess that's related to this (http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?postid=132444#post132444). I don't think Terra would upgrade my shared server if I decided to add a forum to my website. I think I'd get a visit from some angry turtles. I need technology to improve so I can get a dedicated server for $15.00 per month.

Customer: How come PHP5 [or other desired feature] isn't deployed yet?
HelpDesk: Terra has been busy fine tuning Monty's server
Customer: Who's Monty?
HelpDesk: He's the Texan that sends the FQ crew fresh fish every week, so we need to keep him happy
Customer: Fresh fish?
HelpDesk: Hey, we gotta keep those turtles fit with sashimi so they're ready to chase Wassercrats around the pond

:P

Yes, but I forgot it's not dedicated. When you need something more than shared hosting provides, but are not yet prepared to take on the extra tasks required to administrate a dedicated server, FutureQuest's High Capacity Solution is for you!
...
Less Than 20 Accounts Per Server Means Each Account Gets More Overall Resources!I still consider that shared, but a different level of shared.

Wait...is anyone hosted on a dedicated server? Maybe Monty is on one.

I still consider that shared, but a different level of shared. True, but Rocko isn't one of them. Wait...is anyone hosted on a dedicated server? Bradley (http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?postid=126698#post126698) is.

Our (dedicated) MQS systems are built Texan Tough!!! ;)

His site outgrew Community Servers quite a bit ago, and it has been charging forward ever since without looking back...

Even under extreme loading, the MQS systems are rock solid stable...

I guess that's related to this.
Actually, there is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that is close to coming to the forefront, mostly in the Apache/PHP arena... Many things that I've learned by observing Monty's server, has been trickling down to the Community Servers in the form of tweaks and optimizations... :)

Terra is the master of understatement when he says he has tweaked this new server. The MQS server I was on before proved itself to be absolutely bulletproof even under loads in the 30-50 range. This new one however, set a new mark yesterday from what I can see on my end. In 24 hours, it took 999,158 hits, pushed 9.5 GB of traffic through it, all the while at an average load of 1.2. That's very impressive to me, but even more impressive are the comments coming in from my users (about 300 concurrent during the day yesterday) about how fast the new server delivers dynamic pages. My site is 99.9% dynamically served and there's nothing like comments such as
the new server must be slicker than a greased pig ... response time has definitely picked up to make my day (understand, this is a Texas site, lol). Thanks again, Terra and team. Y'all rock.

This is just (yet) another simple note of thanks to the FutureQuest team. My site here broke the million hits per day mark for the first time, by nearly 10%. There is no way I would have been able to do make that happen without the support of the entire team. Thanks!
