Not sure if I should have started a new thread so let me know.
The guestbook entries are not coming up on the guestbook page for me or anyone else. Originally I had deleted the
<---begin ---> line but found my error and the script worked in all aspects. Now for some reason it stopped working.
I deleted the cgi file from my bin directory as well as the guest and sign htm files from www dir.
AND started over .... I followed the instructions EXACTLY and only changed the neccessary info. to run the script.
No worky ..... (stand-alone process, not in web site. The entry does not write itself to the guestbook.htm page. I'm baffled .... I can't see a .ca extension being an issue and I even went as far as changing my permissions for the guestbook.htm from 666 to 766?
Thank you if you have the time and patients.

Hi again,

We really would need a URL, for both the sign.htm and guestbook.htm, so that we could see it in operation to try and see if there is any obvious problems...

Thanks,
Bob

Hi again,

I would double check your entries in your guest.cgi, specifically your "$guestpath" and your xdomain...

About the only time the xdomain doesn't match the domain name exactly is when a "-" is involved which is replaced with a "_"

Hope this helps,
Bob

in other words because of my domain name I wont be able to use this script or is there a potential work around?

Hi again,

Your "Guestpath" is your server path to the file and part of your server path is your xdomain...

If you access your CNC File Manager, navigate to within your /www directory you will see your server path to that directory.

It is also listed in Section 8) of your activation letter...

"The full path to your WWW directory is ..."

You just need to correct the xdomain portion of your Guestpath and i believe that will correct this for you...

Hope this helps further,
Bob

The server path is infact an underscore not a hyphen.
