I just started hosting at futurequest and let me tell you it is like night and day compared to any other option. Here is a little brief history of my hosting.
1. Hosting with friend for free: Still doing it, but if I need a change I have to send an email and it can take some time.
2. Hosting with 1and1: They do have cheap domain names, cheap hosting packages, but they are slow. The control panel is integrated on their site not within your domain name. Any change can take up to 2 hours or more. Whenever I would call them I got the feeling that a) they could care less about me b) they hated their job.
3. Hosting with Futurequest: At this point I don't have any complaints only praises. I'm so happy that I found this hosting servcie. Everything seems to be run so well, when I have a question or problem it is handled quick and effectively. The statistics and the speed are great. I can go on and on but I'm sure you get the point.

Hi from Central Mass to my neighbor to the west! Where abouts are you out there? I lived in the Valley for a little over a year and still miss it sometimes (by far the most wonderful place I've ever lived - country enough to be relaxing, urban enough that you could eat out every single night and not repeat a restaurant for a good year and a half if you didn't want to). If you're anywhere near Hadley, and happen to get your geek fix filled by College Pro Computers, say hi for them next time you're there. They probably won't remember me, but I was that company's Employee #3 :)

I'm actually in Amherst, MA. I have never been I think I may have walked into College Pro computers once. They seemed to be overworked and overnurished.
Yeah I really like this area a lot it has become extremely expensive to live and the economy isn't the best, but the people are nice and the scenery is beautiful.

ah, I lived 12 years in N'ton. I sometimes really miss it. I went to Hampshire College... I've heard it has gotten way expensive and that there is now a Quiznoz on Mai8n Street where Barts once was. I still have fantasies about moving back, though. It sure is a nice place to live. nice domain name. :)

I have fond memories (the ones I can still remember, anyway) of the Amherst area. Don't know if I'll ever go back there -- there are some unfond memories overshadowing the good ones -- but it was the nicest place I've lived in.
Now if I could find someplace just like it in a warmer part of the country, I'd be one happy person. :winky:

12 hours a day with one hand in a computer box and the other hand in a pizza box will do that to anyone :ytpopcrn:
I left CPC in, oh, 97 I think. Might have been back twice since though the last time would probably have been 6 or so years ago. I don't know if there is even anyone left there that I would know. It used to be a great place to scavenge for oddities and long-since discontinued parts. Of course, with computers down to a few hundred dollars now, I have always wondered how they managed to survive (when I worked there, they specialized in used equipment that the poor college students could afford, but now I have no idea what they're doing). I know they're still there since I drove by them a few weeks ago (would have stopped but they were closed for the night).
Anyway - next time you go to Bruno's, have a slice of double pepperoni for me.

I'm in the UK and when I email the help desk I usually get a reply within a few minutes despite the fact its 2 - 5 am FQ time. Support is outstanding and the staff (as well as the forum members) are very knowledgable.

From what I understand College Pro is doing mostly service work. They do sell used pc's but with where the prices are at it doesn't make sense to buy something used for desktop use.
The spring has finally arrived it is really beautiful here. I wish it was like this all year. During the winter months me and my wife were thinking about moving to some place warm, possibly Florida. Althought I don't know about living in a strip mall.

You could be in Colorado.... No, 'cuz I would've killed myself by now. Two feet in April is downright inhumane. escaped!!! No gloating, now.
Las Cruces isn't one of those "desert" towns that've been overrun by golf courses, is it?

Colorado at least has giant mountains to ski down so the snow isn't so bad there.
