I tried editing this (http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?postid=129914#post129914) post twice. First I corrected the spelling of "mayonnaise", then I realized that I should have said "whipped cream" but when I tried editing again, I saw the post with the incorrect spelling of mayonnaise and after I changed it to "whipped cream", it went back to "mayonaise." But now it says "whipped cream," so everything's ok, except there's a confusing delay after edits like that.

Maybe that's IE's doing and I just need to refresh, but I never noticed that before.

Hey, I was going to add "nevermind" to the above post, but 11 minutes later I still get the pre-edit version in the edit window, without the part about refreshing. I KNOW that never happened before. I edit posts more than once all the time.

Not seeing it here with three edits quickly after posting...

I had to refresh hours after posting my second post to this thread in order to see it. I even saw that you replied, but when I got here, I didn't see your post until I refreshed.

Barry, Have you recently updated your browser? I know that when I have upgraded or updated my browsers, sometimes I have to reset the cache preferences.

Clearly there is something quirky about the cache issues you are dealing with...?

No, the biggest thing I did on the computer today was listen to commercials featuring acapella singing. I'll look into the cache setting, or reboot or something.

The only browser change was a Firefox update a few days ago.

Did you use the Quick Reply or Post Reply method?

Quick reply.

Another unusual thing I did today was accidently rotate the links in the "links" section in the toolbar, then I rotated them back, and one is a link to this forum.

Still a problem after rebooting. I think there are some cache settings that I didn't find yet, but I decided to ask whether anyone else is experiencing cache issues on a Verizion newsgroup. I was also wondering if no-cache directives were accidentally removed from forum pages in preparation for the tradition that I hope will continue tomorrow, but I guess not. I'd expect less caching for that anyway, not more.

No, the biggest thing I did on the computer today was listen to commercials featuring acapella singing. That causes hundreds of deaths every year, Wass. If browser quirks are the only problem you're having, count yourself lucky.
