Uploading while online with Aol

Hi you all.
Thanks for those of you who replied me regarding uploading my website (MS Frontpage)
I still need your help.
I downloaded the leechftp program and followed Meikel's story about uploading. The problem I am having now is while I am connected to Aol I dont know how to open the leechftp to begin looking at my Frontpage files.Aol keeps telling me it is too large to open. Any suggestions as I am going cranky now.I keep telling myself it cannot be this difficult. What is the catch?

Hi Nicure!

I don't know anything about AOL, but are you trying to open LeechFTP from some part of AOL's software? I tried Leech for a while, with Win95: when I installed it, it put a shortcut in my Win95 start-bar program files menu, and clicking on that would open it, then I could use that to connect to my futurequest account. As long as you have your puter connected to the internet, you shouldn't have to go through AOL's other programs, it's independant.

I'm AOL too. I use WS-FTP though. Your problem might be anything from what version of AOL you are running to the program it self. Earlier versions of AOL didn't support a winsock (think pre-3.01 versions and some win 3.xx versions if I remember correctly) which is needed to run outside programs for the net. So if you already do or can run an outside browser, irc, etc. then that wouldn't be it.

If that isn't it all I could suggest is WS-FTP, which is free, since it works for me on AOL.
