HI
1 stupid question.
When I configure Cute ftp..in the host address box do I put ftp.futurequest.net or mydomain in?
Thanks!
Sounds like you're using your own domain name, right? If so, (going on what I do hehe) it'll be ftp.you.com for both ftp and telnet logins.

Thanks Del, yes I just registered for my own domain name but am also doing the site on my isp's space..I show up as "whois" with the internic but I still can't connect.
Thanks for the info..at least now I know what to type in for host name :-)
How long ago did you register the domain? Lately it seems that Internic is taking their sweet time setting stuff up. It took about 3 or 4 days before my domain was fully pointed to the FQuest server (No fault of FutureQuest! It's Internic's fault!!! *s*) Part of my time was waiting for internic to update, the rest was waiting on the 'trickle down' effect to finish off.

Last night..(not that I'm impatient or anything LOL)
Future Quest was fast!! Deb just said it probably hasn't been propagated yet which gives me time to figure all of this out now
Hiya Sandy,
When a new account is setup it sometimes takes Internic a while to propogate.
You can try using ftp.futurequest.net and see if that works.
Once everything is propogated then you would use ftp.yourdomain.xxx
Hope this helps http://www.aota.net/ubb//smile.gif

Thanks Deb,
I tried to connect that way (using ftp.futurequest) & it worked..but I'll probably wait til mine is ready so I won't have to change things again.
Hopefully it will work the same way as it does on my isp's space so I don't have to pester with even more quesions
sounds like something I would do LOL
I sent to emails the other day and hit "save" instead of "send" :-)

I decided I'm gonna keep using ws_ftp32 for this cause I don't want to learn something new yet LOL
My question now is..I need to create a new file (I use ws for my site that is on my ISP's free space)
Where it says "Host Name" is that ftp.futurequest.net or mydomain?
Thanks :-)
