Just wondering...

Is it normally a non-trivial task to install the lastest Java Virtual Machine on Red Hat?

My client's system provider is putting together a Red Hat system for us, and they supposedly ran into problems trying to install the JVM. Supposedly, Red Hat's front-line tech support guy was unable to solve the problem, requiring escalation (and subsequent delays).

I have to believe that thousands of Red Hat systems use a JVM, so how hard can it be?
