osCommerce and Payflow Pro

Hello all. I've been trying to setup Payflow Pro with osCommerce to no avail. It's been several days and I've tried all the osCommerce support sites I could find.

Has anyone here sucessfully used osCommerce and Payflow Pro on FQ servers?

I'm looking now at other hosts who may be able to support it, but it would be easiest if I could stay at FQ.

I'd guess osCommerce would depend on the PHP PFpro extension. If memory serves from when I used PFpro with PHP (w/o OSc) years back, this has to be compiled into PHP, something FQ would likely not do (although there could possibly be a way around with Safe-Mode?).

Thanks for the reply hobbes. I totally understand the decision not to recompile PHP for a shared hosting account. However, the latest version of the osCommerce Payflow Pro module includes files and instructions on getting it to run without having to do the recompile... in theory.

Many other users on the osCommerce forums seem to have a problem with that type of setup so I'm aware that there must be issues. I'm now investigating the option of moving this particular site to another host that purports to offer the pfpro already compiled into PHP.
