Thanks to Bob and Arthur for sorting out a clash between an IRM and a .htaccess file. Mixing those two things is like mixing dynamite and gasoline, lol.

Thanks to Sheila for 3 seperate support emails in helping me help get a friends forum up and running and keep a FutureQuest server from running amock due to the old one. That friend is currently on Abacos getting pounded by the storm, but his forum is humming right along now.

It's so nice to get help, and really nice to get help when you hit a brick wall and bounce off :)

add two more support ticket responses from Terra, and a server change in the face of a hurricane to my thank you list. Y'all are simply amazing.

All this from a guy that is actually working this holiday weekend to help the folks in Abacos to get their site's new forums and server moves completed...

Thanks Monty --- As always :)

ah well, it's not like I can take my Florida vacation as planned ;) Y'all stay safe Deb, and I sure wish I had brought my genset over after the last one to y'all. You sure are lookin' smart about leaving those fences alone, though.
Our power company line crews are leaving here on Sunday to help out over there. Y'all stay safe.

No problem, just lending a hand to a long distance neighbor... :)

Just for the record, Terra moved a site from a shared IP to a dedicated IP, from one server to another with ZERO downtime. He has some awesome jumper cables, to be sure. Propagation isn't in his vocabulary. Thank you sir!

The ability to pull off this highly complicated setup is because our server core is highly customized and built from the ground up by us, for us, that is based on an organic design methodology... 8}

I would love to see a host that depends on CPanel, or other 3rd party control panel, be able to handle a multi server load splitting cross architecture setup (and do it while under duress)... ;)
