Hi. I renewed my Thawte SSL certificate about a week ago, and I was wondering if there was something else I needed to do.

Originally, I thought that I wouldn't have to do anything, but when I view the certificate this week on my site, I notice that the expiration date had not been updated.

So, do I have to do something else?

Thanks.

The renewed SSL certificate will have to be installed on the server. So, you'll need to send us the certificate. Just send the certificate to the Service Desk (http://Service.FutureQuest.net/) with the request to install it.

Not sure what you mean by "send us the certificate". When I renewed, Thawte didn't send me any attachment or anything like that.

Are you taking about resending the "CSR"? I obtained the CSR last year from RS Marketing, but I thought this was a one-time fee. I seem to remember Rich saying somewhere that the CSR doesn't have an expiration date, so do I just have to resend that old CSR to FQ and have them reinstall it??

Hello,

When you renewed with Thawte they should have provided you with a tracking URL or pick-up location...

We need the New Certificate Issued by Thawte to install as the Certificate has the expiration date coded into it and the Updated Cert has to be installed on your account.

I would contact Thawte for additional information. If they sent the Updated certificate to the Technical Contact you provided then send an email to the Service Desk, Service@FutureQuest.net, with the email address they sent it to and the domain name in question for us to check further.

Thanks,
Bob
