Received this the other day. Anyone have experience with USight? Are the rates acceptable (iongate was free). Additionally, I pay $20 monthly to merchant bank so the total is now $35.

We regret to inform you that Costco and Nova have made the decision to terminate Nova compatibility for the Iongate gateway.

This means that at 12:00AM MST on June 1, 2004 your Iongate Gateway, Ion Cart, and Ion Buy Buttons will no longer be accessible.

Because of the termination of compatibility by Nova and Costco the Iongate Gateway, Ion Cart, and Ion Buy Button will be permanently shut down. The system will no longer be accessible for viewing or processing transactions.

uSight has supported the Iongate Gateway and Ion Cart since October of 2002 when Iongate officially stopped doing business.

We hope that you have found the service provided by uSight for Iongate over the past several years to be superior.

uSight values your business and we would like to continue servicing your small business by offering the uSight Gateway. This gateway is compatible with Nova and will allow you to continue with uninterrupted service past June 1. Unfortunately the Network 1 and EFT platforms are not supported by the uSight Gateway.

We typically charge a $100.00 setup fee and $30.00/month hosting fee for this service. However, for all Iongate users we will waive the setup fee and reduce the monthly fee in half.

Also, given that your past transaction history from your Ion Gate will no longer be accessible we will include the transfer of this information to your new uSight Gateway at no extra charge.**

The first thing you should determine is who is your "merchant bank" or the entity that you applied to to get your merchant account.

Then, you will want to contact them and ask them why a third-party that you have absolutely no relationship with (uSight) would be sending you this email.

The net result seems like your merchant bank no longer supports the Iongate gateway. If this is correct, then you should ask your bank what other gateways they support and recommend. Then, make your choice of a new gateway provider from this list.

Thanks Rich. After spending hours looking, I amy end up switching the entire package (merchant bank processer and gateway) over to ECHO. Their requirement for using their bank seems a bit annoying but we aren't doing high volumne so it's easy to swallow. I also like the fact that they don't charge if there is no activity.
