I've never done anything like this before, but my company wants to start monitoring one of our other locations via the web. Are there any "out of the box" solutions for something like this? We'd be looking for a live stream, or as close to one as possible anyway.

Pardon me while I eavesdrop on your thread, for a new client :P LOL.

I asked the same question over at BroadbandReports.com (probably rivals this forum for awesome community support), and someone linked me to Axis (http://www.axis.com/products/video/camera/index.htm) - which looks to be exactly what we're looking for; don't know if it applies to your client :).

Lots of options nowadays. Axis has some pretty good products that have been out for some time. Sony has the relatively new VB-C10 based on their PTZ VC-C4. Panasonic has a few different network cameras available (e.g., KX-HCM10 ) that tend to be a bit cheaper than Sony and Axis. All of these are pretty good quality.

Probably need to narrow down on options: indoor/outdoor, pan/tilt/zoom, frames per second, wired/wireless
