WHAT: DNS changes for ezmlm mailing lists
WHO: Only affects those who manage their own DNS and also use ezmlm
WHEN: Immediately

FutureQuest is making some changes in how DNS is handled, including cleanups of some DNS entries.

Effective immediately, the mail##.futurequest.net addresses used in the mlm and lists MX records have been deprecated in favor of using the community server name directly.

For example, mail15.futurequest.net needs to be changed to hugo.futurequest.net. This only impacts site owners who manage their own DNS, and only impacts the MX records for the mlm and lists hosts.

For those clients who are handling their own DNS, in order to use the ezmlm mailing list software, you will need to ensure the following entries are available in your domain's DNS records:mlm.example.com. 1D IN MX 12801 server.futurequest.net.
lists.example.com. 1D IN MX 12801 server.futurequest.net.Where example.com is replaced with your actual domain name, and server is replaced with the name of the community server where your web site is hosted.

To find the correct settings for these entries, you can perform a dig command in a telnet/SSH session with any FutureQuest server, as follows:dig @ns1.FutureQuest.net mlm.example.com MX
dig @ns1.FutureQuest.net lists.example.com MX
