View Full Version : [FQuest Alert] ENIGMA
The ENIGMA server started experiencing problems of an unknown nature a few moments ago and Team members, both at the Data Center as well as Remotely, are actively working on it at this time.
We will post more when possible.
Our apologies for any inconvenience,
Bob
The ENIGMA server was power cycled and appears to be responding normally as a result. We will be investigating this event and watching for any additional problems as the night progresses...
Thanks and again our apologies,
Bob
I can see Kevin there now on the live video link. (http://www.visionquest.net/Video.php) 8}

This is the first time I've watched the FutureQuest Team At Work. :noddy:
Whoops, they're gone again.

Didn't see the person with a tape measure ;)
Unfortunatly I cant watch the live video due to lack of java support on win xp-64  I thought there were too many lights on to be just Kevin in there hehe

What I'm trying to figure out is why the cameras all have the wrong time. Some of them are at least a half hour off, and they're all in the wrong time zone ... I think. Some of them are CST, and some are CDT. "Does anybody really know what time it is?" Unfortunatly I cant watch the live video due to lack of java support on win xp-64 XP64? You're living on the edge. ;)

That was Brian. We were there running conduits and cables under the raised floor for http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16441 when ENIGMA went down. We actually used the tape measure to shove the pull cord through the conduit the first time.

I've noticed the time problem but never thought to mention it ;)
As for living on the edge, I guess so, got my Athlon 64 3200+ in last Friday and fought with the system all weekend (and some this week) to get the right drivers (sound was a PITA).. XP64 is decent, still under development of course (isn't all versions of Windows?? :P ) I need to get Gentoo installed on my other drive so I can really see what this system has to offer ;)

Because the cameras are controlled by two Windows 2000 computers that none of us Linux users are willing to touch unless they are actually broken :P
I just fixed them... At least as accurately as I care to do over VNC.

That was Brian. Ah, I didn't recognize him. Somehow, I expected him to be taller. :P I just fixed them... At least as accurately as I care to do over VNC. Still in the wrong time zone, but I guess we can live with that.
Actually, I was wrong. It's not Central Daylight Time, it's COT -- Colombia Time. %)

I like that picture of "Brian and Kevin installing zip ties on a run of networking cables" while smiling. Looks like an ad for the FutureQuest job fair.

That particular box refused to open the time changing window so I just set the time from a DOS window instead but that doesn't give me access to the timezone which is a purely GUI function. I will look at it the next time I go in.
