I received notice from FQ that I must replace the formmail script in my website with NMS formmail in order to prevent access for spamming. It was further recommended that I rename the script to something other than formmail.pl or formmail.cgi and call it from the renamed location. Problem is, I'm not savvy with this stuff. The guy who did my website has gone out of business and disappeared. I've corresponded with other FQ site owners who say this is a fairly simple fix, and recommended I post my problem to Contract or Be Contracted for assistance. FYI, if removing the portion of my website form that calls for credit card info would make the solution easier, I have no problem in removing those blocks - in fact, I've found that my customers prefer to exchange that info by phone anyway. Please respond if you can help, along with a price for your services. Thanks
Hey lapace,
This is really quite easy and has really easy documentation to follow, especially if you are removing the CC info. I needed to update mine recently and it took about 10 minutes total time.
One side note is you may want to explore what Terra suggested for Rich's PGPForm if you want to do CC sales via the form you upgrade to because I wouldn't submit my card info on the one you currently have.
Good luck.

I can't help with instructions, but is NMS Formmail a better choice for everyone? I intend to intergrate Formmail with my script pretty soon.

NMS is meant to be much more secure than the original Formmail, and also meant to demonstrate better coding practices (though to be honest, I get lost amongst all of the POD-style documentation embedded in the code). We may be thinking along the same lines, as I'm working on tweaking a formmail script at the moment too...
